FAQs

  • Attach the ropes to an immovable object like a pole, weight lifting rack, 2x4, your foot, etc. I currently attach my setup to a carabiner and then to a sling.

  • Put your hand out straight. Then curl your fingers towards your forearm. This motion is what you are mimicking when using the device.

  • Either. To maximize forearm and finger engagement, we recommend making your arm straight. Bending the arm at 90 degrees increase the amount of bicep and back muscle used during the pull.

  • The one that best fits your climbing needs! If you are a beginner, we recommend the larger edge sizes to not unnecessarily overload tendons and ligaments. Smaller sizes are for those who want to start training for smaller edge sizes.

  • Minimalist/Duality are rated to withstand at least 2000 N (449 lbf). The majority of climbers will pull below 2000 N. Elite (think professional) climbers can generate over 2000 N.

  • Absolutely! We recommend using one. Tindeq and PitchSix both sell force meters geared towards climbers. We don’t sell one, yet, but we will one day!

Duality is for climbers who want to improve strength and power, in an easy to use, portable, and pocket-sized edge. Duality can be used at the climbing gym, the crag to warm-up, during work breaks, in your hotel room, anywhere really. Attach the rope ends to a static, immovable object (i.e. your foot), via a carabiner and sling, and pull hard. That’s it.

What sets this apart from the minimalist? It’s two products in one. Carry fewer edges with you. Duality can be flipped quickly during a workout to minimize down time normally needed to switch edges.

This product was designed to be pulled. For maximum results we recommend using a force meter, like a Tindeq or PitchSix. This product was not designed to hang off, like a hang board. It was also not designed to lift weights.
